Hope Valley Ambulance Service (HVAS) is actively recruiting new volunteers! As a new recruit, you will gain training on the EMS system while assisting on scenes and gaining experience. New EMT classes are being hosted at Hope Valley Ambulance (5 Fairview Avenue) Starts on August 28th-December 2nd (Mondays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 9 am). We have been handling a high volume of challenging calls, which have resulted in very positive outcomes, which is due to the commitment and hard work of our staff. We are proud to report that we have achieved successful outcomes with two patients who both experienced cardiac arrests. Today, the crew gave a well-deserved wash to Charlestown Rescue's spare ambulance, which has been helping us stay ready while one of own trucks are in the shop. Just a few weeks ago, they also took care of the Exeter Rescue spare that was temporarily assigned to us.
